HALCYON has signed a new development with a large-scale project for SIAM, a DIS group subsidiary: new ranges of overhead and underground urban furniture for the RER stations operated by the RATP Group.
HALCYON developed the walls of the aluminium honeycomb and Krion® sandwich waiting areas for many Parisian stations as Vincennes, Nanterre Ville, Nogent-sur-Marne, La Croix de Berny ect… for this urban development subject.
This new range of street furniture currently being rolled out bears the fine design signature of the Fritsch Durisotti design studio, based in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, Paris suburbs.
For these panels, Krion® material supplied by the PORCELANOSA Group was chosen because of its composition, which offers high resistance and durability to natural phenomena, impacts, shocks and stains. Its resistance to heat and its fireproof properties allow it to be in contact with heat sources without damaging its appearance.
Once again, HALCYON has demonstrated its expertise in the design and manufacture of aluminium honeycomb structures. Indeed, the ultra-light and resistant parts can be easily deployed and handled by RATP maintenance workers. The installation and fitting of these structures thus requires less labour, which represents a real benefit for the client.
Thus, with their original aestheticism and modernity, the street furniture dresses up Parisian stations and is an extension of the renovation and embellishment project for subway stations implemented by the RATP.
